Dated 26th of October 2011, Wednesday - Reported by Agence France-Presse (AFP), Hewlett-Packard which is one of the leading in technology equipment industry. This company provides different products such as printers, inkjets, toners (like the HP CE260a black toner cartridge) and other computer accessories. According on the report the two firms which are the Taiwan-based and a Chinese company had been found infringing the HP inkjet cartridge.
The International Trade Commission (ITC) agreed with the owner, determining that the Asia Pacific Microsystems or APM, a subsidiary of Taiwan-based United Microelectronics company, violates HP copyrights by selling and manufacturing inkjet printheads. With the same issue the ITC also ruled that MicroJet Technology and PTC Holdings Limited, Chinese companies that both violates the HP rights by manufacturing and selling inkjet printer cartridges.
"HP makes a tremendous investment in developing innovative products for our customers and is committed to pursuing action to protect these innovations and, by extension, the value we deliver to our customers." - Vyomesh Joshi, Executive Vice President of HP's imaging and printing group.
He also said "HP is pleased with the outcome on these matters and the ITC's enforcement of intellectual property rights".
